September Beauty Favorites
8:45 PMIt's time for my first ever favourites and I am so EXCITED!!
I know everybody always says this, but September went by so quickly. I can't believe that it has already been a month since summer ended, but I'm really excited for autumn; so let's do this!
Garnier 'Pure Active' Concealer:
Up until last year I was a self proclaimed 'Garnier snob'. I was sure that it was purely a hair brand and that it couldn't branch out and do makeup. Damn it I was wrong! I have recently been loving some Garnier beauty in my life, including this concealer. I like it because it is specifically targeted towards spots. I don't know if it's actually doing anything to prevent them, as it claims, but it does a good job at covering them. It's very thin and lightweight, so it doesn't feel or look caky, but it has a good coverage. The only downside is that it's available in only one shade, medium, which works for my skin tone but not for many others. I really think that's something they have to improve on.
L'OREAL 'Lumi Magique' Highlighting Pen:
I know this product has been raved about again and again (by me included- x) but it deserves it. I won't go on about it too much, but it's wonderful to brighten up the under eye area. I have used it every morning this month to get a rested and awake look, and it works spectacularly.
ELF Mineral Eyeshadow Primer:
I bought this Elf eyeshadow primer this summer after my friend recommended it to me. I wasn't really expecting much because it was only $3 dollars, but it's actually a really good primer! I have extremely oily lids, and this helps my eyeshadow not crease. Thanks to this primer, I've been feeling more confident about applying eyeshadow in the morning before school because I know it will last until the afternoon.
MAC Eyeshadow in 'Quarry':
And to put on top of the primer, I've been loving this eyeshadow. I've also already talked about this product, so again, I won't go into too much depth. It's a wonderful purply neutral colour that's great on its own or paired with other eyeshadows. This month I've mostly used it by itself, because I'm always in a rush, and I love it because it's pigmented and doesn't have fallout.
Old Williamsburgh Candle in 'Country Dreams':
Last, but not least, a candle. This candle was a present from my mom, and it's the candle I've used the most throughout the whole month. It has a very light sent of flowers with a hint of clean, and I find it extremely relaxing. On the packaging it's described as "soft floral notes of gardenia sweetened by the sun", and though I don't know about the sun part, I can completely agree with the soft floral notes. I've also fallen in love with the packaging, which is a mini mason jar!
